Abstract:The operation state of HVDC electrode line is monitored by electrode line impedance supervision ( ELIS) . The performance of ELIS will affect the operation state identification of electrode line. With theoretical analysis, the measured impedance by ELIS is obtained under double - line break faults and single - line break faults. The performance of ELIS is analyzed based on the impedance measured with different break faults. The results show that for single - line break faults under some specific electrode line lengths, the ELIS will be unable to monitor the fault reliably.
