Abstract:The power consumption grows with the social and economic development,so it needs a bigger and stronger power system. As a decision - making work, transmission expansion planning influences the operational flexibility and the cost of whole system. However, with the expansion of construction scale, the rapid increase of short - circuit current in transmission network endangers the security and stability of power grid. An optimization model of transmission expansion planning is established from the prospective of economy, which makes the calculation of short - circuit current more precisely by correcting network impedance. The Garver - 6 bus system is used as an example to verify the feasibility of optimization model, and it proves that a better and more economical planning scheme can be found after considering the adaptability of grid to short - circuit current.
